Diagnosis: Spitz nevus
Sex: F
Age: 1
Type: Heine

Description: The macroscopic view: a large black lesion of the thigh.
History:
This infant was 20 months old when she consulted. The lesion on the thigh had appeared 6 months ago, and was growing. It had a diameter of 5.5 mm.
The dermoscopic image was typical, with a black structurless center, and at the periphery, streaks and pseudopods, regularly disposed, forming a starbust pattern.
An excision was decided, and the pathology confirmed the diagnosis of Reed nevus.
Many thanks to Dr Anne-Marie Hubert-Asso, MD, Corbeil-Essonnes, France, who allowed me to publish this case.
