Case 2. 35 year old female (type II skin ) Lesion has been present for some time, thinks it may have changed in the last 12 months, and has been bleeding intermittently for about 2 months. R forearm.

Question: What is your diagnosis now? Consider Merkel Cell tumour, Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, BCC, Melanoma, Compound nevus, Atypical fibrosarcoma.

Answer: Histology: Melanoma of superficial spreading type, L4, Breslow 2.6mm, arising within a pre-existing naevus.
