Description: Clinical Clark nevus

History:

 Clark (dysplastic) nevi usually show a lines reticular pattern which can be whispy peripheral or hyperpigmented centrally. If hyperpigmented at the periphery the pattern can mimic a melanoma in situ. Peripheral clods can also be seen in combination with a reticular pattern when the lesions are early and growing. The central area of a Clark nevus can also be hyperpigmented structureless. 

Vascular patterns in Clark nevi are usually dots with short straight or curved vessels.

Clark nevi are usually symmetrical in structures but not necessarily in colours.
