Description: Dermoscopy -Pigmented lesion on the left calf with starburst pattern.Symmetrical globules with streaks at the periphery of naevus.

History:

Brought in by her mother with a history of rapidly developing 'mole' on the left calf, over the past six months.

Stereotypical Spitz nevus is usually less than 6 mm in size although they can reach  up to 3 centimeters in lateral diameter.

Ferrara G,et al  recommend excision of spitzoid lesions in childhood if they are large (>1 cm in diameter),ulcerated and rapidly changing in dermoscopic features(colour,shape & evolving).
