Description: This lesion has asymmetry of pattern and the presence of more than one colour. There are really no real clues to melanoma. Some observers beleve there is radial streaming in the focus of atypical network in the extreme "north-east" while others disagree and attribute that appearance to normal abrupt network

History: This lesion was encountered at a routine skin examination on this 56 year old man who had a previous history of non-melanoma skin cancers. Histology on an excision biopsy specimen revealed level 1 superficial spreading melanoma
