Description: Dermoscopy- Asymmetry of structures and colour.

History:

Patient was not aware of this pigmented lesion on the left chest wall.This PSL(5mm) was excised due to the finding of pseudopods.

Histopathology:  Left chest wall, MELANOMA CLARK LEVEL II.

With strict morphological definition,pseudopods has a specificity of 97% and sensitivity of 23% for invasive melanoma.[S.Menzies]

With more than one pattern + pseudopods(segmental) = melanoma. [H.Kittler]

Pseudopods are not seen in melanoma in-situ.
