Description: Dermoscopy-Atypical pigment network and Blue white veil.

History:

Patient's pigmented skin lesion was noticed on the right shin while massaging her legs.Patient was adamant that she has not noticed it before.She has no history of skin cancer.Her skin phototype is II.This lesion was excised initially with 2mm margins.

Histopathology:   Right proximal shin, consistent with severely dysplastic naevus.

It was later re-excised with 5 mm margins.This lesion is a melanoma mimic.

7-Point Checklist of Dermoscopy : Total Score - <3  Non melanoma ; => 3 Melanoma.

7-Point Checklist of Dermoscopy has sensitivity of 95% and specificity of 75%.
