Description: Dermoscopy contact polarised emphasising the dermal collagen as a white area with a surrounding pigment network of the overlying epidermis.
History: Dermatofibromas can vary in colour from pink papules to black papules depending on the degree of irritation of the overlying melanocytes. Clinically the lesion is recognised by tethering down of the surface when lateral pressure is applied and by the firm dermal fibrous tissue.
