Description: Heine view. Lesion of the palm, showing a parallel ridge pattern: the dark broad lines are the ridges, the clear ones the furrows. There are also irregularly distributed brown and grey dots, and grey structures on the edges.The line of white dots in the middle of the ridges are the openings of the eccrine (sweat) ducts.These are best seen in the enlarged view.

History: This lady came to the consultation for this brown palmar spot, which had grown recently. The diagnosis was: SSM Clark II Breslow 0.28, developing in a pre existing nevus.
